Vientos
72 x 35 in oil on canvas
Vientos, meaning "winds," is a reflective self-portrait, each brushstroke echoing the shifts in my life, fracturing shapes and colors to express life's perpetual changes and unpredictability.
Over a span of five years alternating between periods of intense anxiety and relaxation, cultivating harsh textures with therapeutic, colorful lines that depict the winds of change. Bright colors spread throughout the canvas, infusing it positivity and resilience.
The term "Vientos" stems from the root word "bien," meaning "good" in Spanish, reflecting excellence or good job. It embodies the notion that even if life is constantly shifting and evolving it is excellent.
La vida es todo Vientos...
